For those who do not receive our monthly Mission Report these photos may require a bit of explanation. On our most recent visit to the city of Gangneung we overnighted at a very nice Hotel near the beach and a game preserve. Retiring at about 10pm, we heard scratching, running noises in our ceiling. It was difficult to sleep and, at about midnight, Linda got up to visit the restroom. As she settled back into bed, after turning out the light, she suddenly screamed and sat "bolt upright"! Something furry had brushed her arm!! These photos depict the result of that experience. We were moved from economy class into a luxury suite by the management because of the "fierce beast" pictured in the last two photos. You can see the "cowardly brute" hiding behind the sink after Darrel "bravely" chased him into the bathroom! Turns out he was a Nocturnal Asian Flying Squirrel and he was just paying us a friendly little visit.

You know what they say ...."Beware a Korean Squirrel bearing gifts." We didn't get a very good night's sleep. :)
