Among the many things sold by street vendors in Dongdaemun the two photos above show two of the "cultural" foods we have chosen to resist. The top photo is stewed sea snails and the bottom is stewed "silkworm larvae" called "Bundaeggi". The silkworm larvae smell even worse than they look. Darrel tried a hot dog made from them and has sworn never to try them again!

One of the missionaries told us they sort of "pop" when you chew them. Yummy!!
