We love Gangneung City on Korea's east coast. This time it was Zone Conference that got us there as we spoke to the missionaries about "The Power of Humility" and "The Value of Your Mission". The top picture shows Linda with President Cho and Sister Min standing amid the Pine trees that line the beach. Notice how well groomed these beautiful trees are. They do an incredible job of grooming them and there are thousands and thousands that must be pruned etc each year. In the ceneter photo a Korean "Calico" listens in on our Zone Conference through an open door behind the Church.
The last pic shows that we have "left our mark" in Gangneung. We ate in a wonderful little beach front cafe that insists that vistors enscribe their names on the walls. The owner had Darrel stand on a small chair to reach up to the very top of the wall but in doing so the legs on the chair collapsed in the process. It would probably be a good guess that Darrel is "just a little heavier" than the restaurant's average Korean penman. :)
