In the the top photo Linda poses with Sisters Diane May and Pania Matthews, two English Teachers from New Zealand. Sister Matthews is Maori and a real kick. Sister May has a Kiwi accent that is so heavy that she almost sounds as if she is speaking something other than English. They are terrific girls and we had a great time having them over for dinner.
In the middle photo the huge and crowded Kyobo Book store is shown. We wish we had discovered it earlier. It is only 15 minutes from our apartment but like so many things in Seoul it is entirely below ground and you have know where it is to find it. We actually blundered into it by accident.
The last picture was taken as we entered the Seoul Art Museum for a wonderful Van Gogh exhibition. The large Korean letters on the poster behind us say "Pan Gohuh"..thats Van Gogh in what is referred to as Konglish (using Korean letters to spell an English word). There is no V in Korean so the character for the B/P sound is used instead.
