Our trip to Mt Soraksan was an incredible experience and, as with every other trip we have taken since coming to Korea, the weather was fabulous. In the photo above we are standing in front of a huge statue of Buddah that is near the entrance to the Park. In the photo at the top several our missionaries are descending Mt Soraksan after having climbed to the top with President Cho and Sister Min (note the Korean flag at the top). The second photo shows a group of "old timers" that Darrel made friends with. They were with a group of about 10 and were really nice folks. One of them told me that I "had a beautiful wife" and I agreed. :) One of the men thanked us for what America has done for South Korea and even kissed my hand when we shook hands. The spires in the 3rd photo were really impressive and rose alongside a trail that we hiked for about 4-5 miles into the Park.
