Korea is truly a land of paradoxes. It seems everyone in Korea (man, woman or child) has a cell phone and a broadband internet connection, and yet, we often see some amazingly inventive but primitive lash-ups serving as part of their infrastruture.
This is an electrical outlet that Linda spotted on a tree along one of the busiest streets in Seoul. The white wire ran from a power source on an overhead line to the tree and down to about head level on the trunk. The cut-away plastic juice bottle appears to keep the moisture off the plug-in outlet! No doubt this is the power supply for a street vendor. We just shake our heads in wonder!
