This is the view behind our apartment. We are on the 3rd story of a four story building with a basment apartment as well. The large building is Gyungbok Boys High School. The rope leading to the Ginkgo tree is our improvised "fire escape". If our building was on fire we have only one egress, so Darrel rigged up a way for up to swing out and drop over a razor wire topped fence onto the school grounds. There is a loop for our foot so we won't have to worry so much about hanging on ! The missionaries say it's the only fire escape they have seen in Seoul!
